Summary Under the direction of the Plant Director, this position is an essential part of the plant management team in support of the strategic and operational goals of the food manufacturing facility. The position is responsible for a variety of financial, accounting and reporting functions including, but not limited to general ledger, accounts payable, tax compliance, establishing standard costs, ensuring the management of stock room inventory movements, preparation and reporting of operating costs, purchasing, and budgeting. The role will also be a resource for other facilities and will be required to travel in order to assist other accounting teams with onboarding and training, as well as address other issues as they occur. Key Responsibilities Manage the Accounting Department in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policies and procedures. Complete timely and accurate reporting of all operational costing for the facility. Prepare and communicate weekly and monthly variance analysis. Organize, lead, analyze and report on all budgeting activities for the facility. Direct staff and be actively involved with organizational and plant management initiatives. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. Typical Education Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university Relevant Experience 8
years of cost accounting/finance experience required. Experience in manufacturing/production enterprises preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others. Demonstrated aptitude for effectively supervising and directing the work of others.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
